P L A Q U E S
I am almost irresistibly inclined towards complex and busy pieces, I just can’t stop myself, so the plaques are a great discipline in ‘keeping it simple’. The size and format forces me to concentrate on one single subject, they’re compact and manageable too… and it gives me great pleasure to be able to ‘use up’ small beautiful pieces of wood that would otherwise be wasted. I have in mind to produce a set of bird plaques one day, when there’s time, especially looking forward to trying a hummingbird.
